The Challenge
A growing corporate office with an unreliable shared internet line, slow internal file transfers and no structured cabling standard across three floors.
The Environment
Three floors of open-plan offices in a Sandton business park, roughly 320 networked endpoints. Peak load came from large file transfers and video meetings on a single shared internet line.
The Design
GTL designed and installed a 10G backbone with structured Cat6a cabling, managed switching, enterprise firewall and redundant dual-wan fibre links.
The Deployment
Works happened floor by floor after hours to avoid disruption: structured Cat6a cabling, 10G core switches, the enterprise firewall and dual WAN links — followed by a failover test with the IT team watching, and full Wi-Fi 6 coverage verified at every desk.
