Wireless Broadband Network
Limpopo Rural · 12 Tower Sites · 600+ Subscribers

The Challenge
A rural community with zero fixed-line coverage and no affordable internet option for homes, schools and small businesses.
The Environment
A rural Limpopo valley with zero fixed-line coverage — homes, schools and clinics spread across roughly 40km, with high points between settlements and no affordable internet option.
The Design
GTL deployed a 12-site wireless network with microwave backbone links, subscriber stations and point-to-point infrastructure covering 40km of valley.
The Deployment
Tower construction and microwave backbone links went in first, followed by subscriber stations and PoE power systems per settlement. GTL trained local resellers to manage day-to-day subscriptions while the network management suite gave GTL full visibility from anywhere.
Equipment Deployed
- 12 tower sites
- Microwave backbone links
- Subscriber station radios
- PoE power systems
- Network management suite
The Outcome
600+ homes connected
Schools and clinics online
Local reseller ecosystem trained
Network expanded twice since launch
The Method
Every project runs through the same discipline: Understand → Design → Deploy → Support. This is how GTL works on every site.
